The importance of this work lies in the typically descriptive structure of the text. The book can be the object of investigation by scholars from various thematic fields, confirming itself, from a documentary standpoint, as an indispensable resource for filling the gaps that may arise from research conducted mainly on public archival sources.
It is on this ground that the author took up the invitation to analyse, carefully and in depth, the political, social and economic aspects of the feudal "State" of Tricase, drawing on the experience gained in academic circles. The work therefore has a genuine value and historiographical coherence, and offers an important contribution to reinvigorating scholarly reflection on the general aspects of feudalism and territoriality in the Kingdom of Naples in the modern age.
